Certificate of SNI ISO 37001 2016 Anti-Bribery Management System PT PLN

Jakarta–(August 10th), PT PLN (Persero) officially received the SNI ISO 37001:2016 Anti-Bribery Management System (SMAP) certificate Number: 03 13 H 20014 dated August 10, 2020, covering the Anti-Bribery Implementation scope of the Gas and Oil Fuel Division in the Primary Energy Directorate and the Treasury Division in the Finance Directorate. The certificate was issued by the TÜV NORD Indonesia Anti-Bribery Management System Certification Institute (LSSMAP), which is accredited by the National Accreditation Committee (KAN) with the LSSMAP-003-IDN certification.

On this occasion, PLN President Director Zulkifli Zaini conveyed that the achievement of SNI ISO 37001:2016 SMAP certification is a reaffirmation and concrete evidence of PLN's commitment to running a company business process free from corruption, adhering to the principles of Good Corporate Governance. "Tone from the top," he said. "Starting with the Board of Commissioners and Directors, we are committed to implementing ISO 37001 SMAP with the following four principles:

• No Bribery (refuse/avoid bribery and extortion);
• No Kickback (refuse/avoid commissions, tokens of gratitude in the form of money and in other forms);
• No Gift (refuse/avoid gifts or gratuities that conflict with applicable rules and regulations);
• No Luxurious Hospitality (refuse/avoid excessive welcome and hospitality).

"It requires the support and commitment of all of us, from PLN employees, stakeholders, and partners," Zulkifi emphasized. "This SNI ISO 37001:2016 SMAP certification is a concrete step by PLN in following up on the Minister of State-Owned Enterprises' letter No. S-35/MBU/02/2020 to implement Presidential Regulation No. 54 of 2018 concerning the National Corruption Prevention Strategy (Stranas PK) and the SOE Secretary's letter No. S-17/S.MBU/02/2020, which instructs all SOEs to obtain ISO 37001 Anti-Bribery Management System certification and obtain the certificate before August 17, 2020," Zulkifli added.

To obtain this certificate, PT PLN (Persero) has been preparing since February 2020. The certification process requires two assessment stages by external auditors. The first stage was conducted on July 24 and 27, 2020, to check document readiness and compliance. The second stage, from August 5 to 7, 2020, involved interviews and discussions with the Directors and Commissioners of PT PLN (Persero).

"Once again, we need the support and active participation of all PLN employees, stakeholders, and partners in implementing SNI ISO 37001:2016 SMAP. We hope that there will be no more corruption and bribery practices in any of PLN's business processes. This will allow the company to operate more efficiently and effectively, improve GCG and PLN's image, and ensure PLN products meet customer needs, while building investor and customer trust," Zulkifli concluded.
